Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 or later
  • CPU: 1 core (x86, 32-bit)
  • RAM: At least 256MB
  • DISK: Minimum 500MB free space
  • .NET >=6.0 Runtime
  • If you're working in a closed (air-gap) network, ask your organization manager to open necessary ports. The default ports are 8193/TCP (Outbound), and 8195/TCP (Outbound)

Installer

Install on windows machine koldan-installer.exe.

After install, open the application and choose "Cloud" if you work with Dixilang's Cloud, or "Organization" if you are using organization server.

If you are in organization, choose "Manual Parameters" and ask organization manager to porive this information for your.

  • Hostname: The hostname of gRPC service
  • Port: The gRPC Service port (default 8195)
  • SSL: Whether to use SSL to communicate with the server

Click Next and specify your username and password.

If you are an admin that log-in the first time, use the admin user you created during the installation process.

First-Time Installation and Setup

When you first install and open the application, a simple setup wizard will guide you through the initial configuration. Follow these steps to get started:

After launching the app, you will be greeted with a welcome page that asks you to choose the location of your server. You have two options:

  • Cloud: Select this option if you're connecting to a cloud-hosted server.
  • Organization: Choose this if your server is hosted on your organization’s infrastructure.

Login

If you select Cloud, you'll be prompted to log in. There are two methods available:

  • Standard Login: Enter your username and password to log in.
  • Advanced Login (Google): If you prefer, you can log in using Google authentication for a more secure, single sign-on experience.

Model Selection

After logging in, the wizard will guide you to select a speech recognition model from the available options. Choose the model that best suits your needs (e.g., general transcription or specialized models like medical or legal).

Ready to Use

Once the model is selected, the app transitions into a minimal, pill-shaped design. This is the main interface for dictation, and you can immediately start using the app by speaking into your selected recording device.

Once the installation is complete and you've logged in, you're ready to start using the application. You can immediately begin utilizing our dictation app for streamlined voice-to-text functionality.
